I tried out for the drama club, but I didn't get in. I tried out for the choir, too, but I didn't make it.
The reason I was turned away was because of my voice. When I auditioned, they couldn't hear me say anything. I would sing, and they couldn't hear me say anything. I wasn't loud enough.
I thought, "I can't believe that. Why am I not able to sing?" And then I remember thinking, "Well, if they don't want me, what's the point?"
I went home and cried. I felt like my life was over.
Friends are great. Which is why having friends is often what separates the hero from the villain. An unfortunate and inevitable side-effect of The Power of Friendship is that if you don't have friends, there's something wrong with you, since being a loner is not "natural".
