Steven Grant personality type is INFP, which is the least common of the 16 personality types, so it's not surprising that he's not a very happy person. However, he does go out of his way to be nice to people, and his kindness is one of the reasons why he loves those he works with. This is probably the most positive thing I can say about him. (He's also the only one I know personally who actually used his job to help others.)
None of this is meant to make Grant sound like a villain. He's really just someone who's unfortunately stuck in a bad situation with no way out.
