She's the first girl that Rei meets when it is revealed that he has been having a one-sided relationship with her all this time. Either way, he is the first person she talks to in the series and first person to be aware of her.
In episode 7, she is revealed to be a member of the "Number One Party" with Yukimura and Rumiko. She's also the only girl to know about Rei's secret, but doesn't tell anyone.
She is a very rational person, as she knows Rei isn't really a vampire and helps him at first because she believes he's just an ordinary boy. However, she's also very poor at dealing with him, which causes her to misunderstand him and make mistakes. At the end of episode 7, she says she will not speak to him anymore because she misunderstood him, and that his not being a vampire was the reason for her misjudgment.
