Apolo Hidalgo personality type is INFP, which means my type is INFP. I’m not sure what I am, but I know what I’m not. So I’ll tell you what I’m not. I’m not an INFP. My type is an INTP. I can’t be a fan of a type I don’t have the guts to possess.
For those of you who know nothing about the Myers-Briggs personality test, it’s a tool that helps identify your dominant personality type. Some people are interested in it as a way to understand themselves better, but for me it’s a method for understanding other people. It’s clear that the MBTI tests are useful for identifying types and traits, but that doesn’t mean the test is always useful for understanding another person. It depends on the context of their personality, the kind of relationship we share, and our own personal motivations.
I use the test to understand how other people think, but I don’t use it to understand myself. Logic and rationality are not a part of my personality.
