If a person with an ESFJ personality type is in a bad place, they are more likely to be loyal to their friends and loved ones, and try to make sure that they are happy, and not let them down. In my experience, ESFJ's are very dependable friends.
It's in my experience that ESFJ's can be quite reserved and shy at first. They are also very down to earth, and they can be quite shy around others of the opposite sex. This can make them seem aloof to others. On the other hand, they can be very outgoing once they get to know you. They are also very patient and understanding, and are usually good listeners.
