So I've been doing a lot of reading on this and so far, I'm starting to lean towards one explanation of Thanos's personality:
I remember reading in the comics that his personality type is INTJ, and that he's a sociopath. I think it's safe to say that The Joker is an INTJ as well.
Now as far as sociopaths go, I couldn't find much about them on the internet, but I did find this: Quote: Sociopaths lack the ability to regulate their own emotions. They have a history of emotional or physical aggression.
Thanos is the adoptive father to Gamora and Nebula and a possible enemy of the Guardian of the Galaxy in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy.
