I. INTRODUCTION
In this paper, I will attempt to distinguish between the four
types whose personalities are described in the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator. I will also attempt to explain how these types differ from each other. It is my hope that this paper will be used as a guide for further study by both my students and my peers.
Myers and Briggs (MBTI) type theory is one of the most widely used personality theories today. It focuses on the idea that personality can be described by four distinct modes or types: Introversion (I), Extroversion (E), Sensing (S), and Intuition (N). Extroverts tend to be outgoing, energetic, and people-oriented. Introverts are quiet, reflective, and often have difficulty making close friends. Sensors are cautious and practical.
