My best friend growing up was a girl named Monica. She was the first person I became close to that had a different personality than me. I was around 5 years old and she was around 6, and we ended up being friends because she was so much more talkative and outgoing than I was. At first, she would constantly pick on me, but she became one of my best friends and she was one of the only people I felt comfortable confiding in.
