I came to realize that I was not going to be able to accept my current reality. I was like a dog that had been trained to sit on command. I was told what to do. I did what I was told. I was always the one to say, “Yes,” and “No,” but I knew that there was something else I could be doing.
You know, like taking a shred of paper and writing down a new idea.
I came to realize that I had been trained to accept the status quo. But I knew something was wrong. And I would always say, “Yes,” but there was another idea that was growing inside me.
What’s wrong with the status quo? What’s wrong with the standard way of doing things? Well, the problem with the status quo is that a lot of people have accepted it as their reality. This means that they are not able to see alternatives. And they are not able to think outside the box because they have accepted the way things are.
