Darcy Lowell was born on May 9, 1986 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States. She is of American nationality. Darcy Lowell grew up in the suburb of Mount Lebanon and went to the Chartiers Valley High School.
After high school, she studied art and design at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design in 2005. Darcy didn’t get into any internship so she moved to New York City to start a career as an artist and graphic designer.
Darcy’s first job was to set up the website for a local wedding venue. This was not a job she was looking for but it became her first professional experience. In 2006, she joined a small design agency as a contract art director, which was great experience for her.
In 2008, she was hired by the New York City-based fashion marketing firm and stayed there for two years. The following year, she started her own graphic design business and worked independently.
