Lafi personality type is ESFP, which is the same as my Myers-Briggs. I am the youngest child of four and was the only boy. My dad was very strict with us growing up. He didn’t allow us to have much fun. He would have us do chores, which I hated. But I always wanted to please him and make him happy.
When I was a teenager, he wanted me to work in the shop with him. I secretly wanted to be an engineer, like my older sister, who also worked in the shop. My dad went on vacation to Japan, and my mom and I were left alone for the first time. That was when she suggested I take a typing test and see how I would do. I had no idea what a typing test was, but she said I was good at typing. She said if I could type well, she would get me a new job at the shop.
I took the typing test and scored very high, but I did not want to work at the shop. I told my mom I would quit and go back to school. She got angry and told me, “You will do what I say or you will not go to school anymore.”
