Vanil is the narrator of Ace of Hearts story. He tells the story of his old schoolmates (from college). When he was younger he was very insecure, which got worse after the accident with Lian. Despite the loss of his left arm, Vanil wants to tell this story at all costs, so "we will never forget it," he explains. His favorite writer is Fëdor Dostoevskij.
