Bag Girl (Japanese: かげん おばさん ) is a character from the children's anime series, "Mimibot". Her name is a portmanteau of the Japanese words for "bag" and "sarcastic woman". She is the owner of a bag shop, and sells all kinds of bags, including wickerwork and the larger, more colorful bags that are called tote bags in English. She also makes bags herself, using a similar method to Japanese kimono making.
She is an eccentric and anti-social woman who lives in a small apartment with her cat, Mrs. Kami-yanagi. At first she was extremely grumpy, but she has since become very friendly.
She retired from her bag business and moved to a small apartment in the mountains to avoid paying rent on her bag shop. After moving to the mountains, Bag Girl becomes obsessed with nature. She wears a large braid on her head that she covers with a green bandana, and she wears a red dress with a green belt (which she also wears around her waist as a belt).
