Dan personality type is ENFP, and he was a fairly typical ENFP. He wore his heart on his sleeve, was naturally expressive and photogenic, and had a big heart and an upbeat nature.
I’m not sure I knew him very well, but I knew him well enough to be absolutely shocked by what I read. I’d never seen him in person and I’d never met him, but I’m pretty sure this was the first time I ever really heard him talk about anything that wasn’t about himself or about his feelings. He was always talking about himself and his feelings, ranging from mild to extreme. He would be talking about the weather, then bawling over something that happened to him and then basically just talking about himself all the time. His blog is full of the same thing. He’d voice a strong opinion, then end with “I’m sorry if this offends anyone”.
He had a lot of trouble in his life that he never talked about, and he had some intense emotional issues that he never talked about either.
