Born August 9th 1757, Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton was the second eldest daughter of Phillip Schuyler. Eliza was said to be a sort of tomboy during her younger years, and she retained a strong will and even impulsiveness that stayed with her and caused many of her acquaintances fall in love with her. She was a devoted wife to Secretary of Treasury Alexander Hamilton, and even when he was disloyal, she still stood by him. After Hamilton died, Eliza did many good things such as open the Graham Windham orphanage, and speak out against slavery. Eliza Hamilton passed away at the age of 97 on November 9th, 1854.
