    Violet Alden Personality Type, MBTI

What is the personality type of Violet Alden? Which MBTI personality type best fits? Personality type for Violet Alden from The Boxcar Children Book Series and what is the personality traits.

    Violet Alden
    INFP

    INFP (9w1)

Violet Alden personality type is INFP, as is Violet's mother, which explains why Violet is an artist. But Violet's father is ENTP, which makes Violet a rare ENTP female and therefore quite interesting, especially in fiction. Violet's father was a professor of Art History and her mother was a nurse who, like Violet, had a Master's degree. (I think this is where I learned that Violet's mother had a Master's degree, as I'm not sure I ever read anything about it before).

The plot of the book is interesting, too. It's just not very well developed. I'd say the plot itself is about half developed - the other half is set up for you to learn about the characters. If you're expecting the plot to develop organically, you'll probably be disappointed. There's some foreshadowing but nothing that really develops. Violet's father dies after a freak accident and then she learns that he was a spy for the British government. This isn't really developed any further except for a few passing conversations after the book ends. More interesting is the fact that Violet has a psychic ability that allows her to see into someone's soul.
