Hong personality type is ISFP, which is a big surprise. It’s not that I am not an INFP – I have an ISFP in me, but I didn’t know I had it. I am still trying to understand this whole temperament system, but my gut feeling is that there is a collective wisdom about type, and the individual experiences are secondary. In other words, it’s not that you are an ISFP because you want to be one (that’s stupid), but that you are an ISFP because your mind is set up that way, and it will be hard for you to be anything else.
I’ve also learned that in Chinese culture, people often make fun of others for being too “quiet” or “shy” if they do not speak up, but the truth is that being quiet or shy is a form of expression. I have learned that being quiet and shy is a very common type trait in China. That’s why I would not be surprised if a lot of people who have this personality type are in China.
