James Potter personality type is ESFJ, and is likely to be the most common. ESFPs, the most common personality type, are more likely to be a teenager, and are more likely to be male. Other than a few minor variations, the descriptions of the personality types seem to fit the descriptions of the Myers Briggs theory to a T.
However, for me personally, I’m probably an ISFP. (Yes, I know I’m not mainstream enough for MBTI folks.) I do not fit the descriptions of any of the MBTI categories, but I do fit the descriptions of the temperament. I am very much like a quiet, reserved, and shy person. I am also passionate about my family and friends, and I have a very hard time saying no to people in need.
I’ve been working on this for a long time. I was only able to put it into words recently, because I was reading a book by an ISFP author, and I was able to see some of this in her writing.
I have been an ISFP since birth.
