Nick Dunne personality type is ISTP, which is the enneagram’s version of the ISTJ. When I was in high school and college, I felt that ISTP was mostly a fictional type – all those stories about ISTPs being the life of the party and all that. But I think that this is really accurate for Dunne. He’s a lot of fun and very optimistic about life.
First, there are the ISTP’s strengths. Dunne is a more-than-willing participant in group activities, and he’s very good at bringing people together. He also has a very good sense of humor and is able to see the funny side of most things. His optimism is infectious, and he has a good grasp on what his strengths are, as well as where he can improve.
Then there are Dunne’s weaknesses as an ISTJ. There’s not much that can be done about his impulsiveness, but he does tend to be very sensitive about criticism and does not handle conflict well. He’s not a real good leader, but he’s very good at group activities.
