When Sung Mi-Do was born, she was one of the youngest children in the family. She was raised to be a dutiful daughter. She grew up being taught how to cook and how to sew. In middle school, she was often told that she was an embarrassment to her parents because she did not have a boyfriend and that she was not pretty. Sung Mi-Do had to wait until she was 21 years old before she met a man who loved her for who she was. It was at this point in her life that she finally learned how to love herself. She could not understand why her father had not loved her when she was so beautiful. Her mother did not love her either because of the way she looked.
At college, Sung Mi-Do met some very interesting people and discovered that she could still have fun despite having a child. She joined a theater group and performed in several plays. She always enjoyed being around interesting people and could communicate with them easily.
Sung Mi-Do tries to help those around her and is able to set aside her problems for a little while to do so.
