Buddy personality type is INFP, so it's not surprising that my wife (my INFP type) gets nervous and anxious when she is around people she doesn't know very well. It's like she makes up an inner voice or imaginary friend who tells her to open up and make friends with strangers.When we are in a new place, I try to find a group of people to hang out with, because my wife lives in a very small town. I tell my wife that she needs to be more confident and self-assured, and that the best way to overcome her shyness is to simply talk to people and be friendly. She is still shy, but she is slowly improving.I think that INFPs are afraid of judgmental attitudes, which may be why they tend to shy away from social situations. I also believe that many INFPs are afraid of appearing particularly "nice" or "nice" people, because those are traits associated with the NF type. I have found that INFPs need to learn how to demonstrate their own unique qualities without appearing fake, which is why I think it's important for them to get to know people and make friends.
