Shang Jie said he was "shocked" when he learned his online orders were beginning to pile up. He said he was always careful to limit his visits to HubPages to one or two pages per day.
But he said his online orders started to grow.
"It was getting out of control," Shang Jie said. "I had to do something."
He said he was persuaded by a fellow HubPages author he met on his own Facebook page, who became a customer after meeting him through the website.
"He told me that if I found out who was doing this, I should go public with it," Shang Jie said. "I didn't know how to do that, so he helped me."
