Fukase personality type is ENTP, which is the most common personality type among Asian Americans, according to a study conducted by the University of Georgia.
The study, released in February, examined the Myers-Briggs and Asian and Pacific Islander (API) personality types and discovered that the ENTP personality type is the most common among API people. The study also found that ENTP’s make up 45 percent of API personalities and that ENTP’s make up 24 percent of American personality types.
“ENTPs are the most common type in API,” said Dr. Jung-Yi Chien, a professor of psychology at UGA who co-authored the study. “In API, ENTP is the second most common type, next to INFP.”
Chien said that ENTPs are found among Korean, Japanese, Filipino and Chinese populations.
“We can say that these findings support the idea that Asian cultures have a different way of looking at the world,” he said.
The Myers-Briggs test measures an individual’s personality type according to their preferred way of perceiving and processing information.
