Ty personality type is ENFJ, or extroverted iNtuitive Feeling Judging. It's a rare combination of traits: a love of people and a love of ideas. People like me, with this type, are often seen as "people persons" or even "humanitarians." That's because we love people. And we love ideas. We're not big on the concrete details of life (at least, not when it comes to people). But when it comes to ideas, our ability to see things from many angles is prodigious.
For example, I'm a big fan of the theory that the ancient Greeks had a more nuanced view of women's roles in society than we do today. We used to consider women as essentially "nurturing" figures; Mother Earth, essentially. And men were the protectors, the fathers, of the family. Today, we would call that "traditional gender roles." And the feminism-movement seems to have pushed us in that direction.
But I think the idea of "nurturing" is more nuanced than we give it credit for.
