Vada Cavell personality type is ISTP, or Introverted Sensing Thinking Perceiving, on the Briggs Myers Type Indicator. There are others, of course, but this is one of the most common personality types, and is a good shorthand for ISTP.
I am suspicious of this shorthand, because it is so close to ISTJ, or Introverted Sensing Judging Thinking Judging (a type which I have known some of my life). I believe that ISTP is more akin to the genius inventor or engineer type than to the ISTJ. I’m not sure what Myers would say to this.
Vada Cavell is a character in an author’s imagination, but she is also a type. She is a telepathic and telekinetic archaeologist with a mysterious past who finds herself transported to a strange and dangerous new world when her father and fellow scientists are murdered by a massive monster and she is left to investigate the crime.
She has lots of ISTP characteristics: a love of order, a lack of patience with the theoretical, and a contempt for those who waste their time in idle talk. She is also a genius at solving problems and finding solutions which often involve violence if necessary.
