Keyleth personality type is INFP, which is one of the rarest personality types on Earth. In fact, it is only 2% of the population, and even then, it is rarer than that because there are three other rarer types in addition to INFP. I don't know about you, but I find it hard to believe that a person can be both INFP and a cleric. But, I digress.
This isn't the first time we've seen a character in D&D go through a personality shift. In fact, after reading some of my favorite modern fantasy books, I admittedly had this very same thought. It's not something that you see often with characters in D&D. I mean, yes, there are many characters who have personality shifts like this, but these are usually for the best. They are usually done by the characters to keep the story going, and most of them are for the better. But, not in this case.
I'm not saying that the story was bad in any way because it wasn't. I just don't think that it was handled correctly.
