More about the Melinoë personality type
The Melinoë personality type is an uncommon one, and is one of our most unique types. It is a high level function function type, but it is not one of the four types we normally use for a personality type. This type was developed by C. G. Jung in his book Psychological Types. His original typology divides the types into four: introvert, intuitive, sensing, and extrovert. Melinoë is an introvert, but it is not one of the four primary types.
Melinoë is a chthonic nymph or goddess invoked in one of the Orphic Hymns and represented as a bringer of nightmares and madness. The name also appears on a metal tablet in association with Persephone. The hymns are of uncertain date but were probably composed in the 2nd or 3rd century AD.
