I have known ENTPs for years who hate being called ENTP. I have found that beyond the ENTP who has a favorable opinion of themselves, there is a negative type ENTP who is always trying to prove they are something other than what they are. They are so convinced that they are not like other ENTPs that they will tell you point blank that they are not an ENTP when you ask them.
I think you are an ENTP. I would guess that you have a pretty high opinion of yourself and that your reasons were based on your own personal growth and not just a perception of others. You might have found that personalities are not nearly as obvious as you thought they were and you may still be feeling a bit confused. I think you mentioned in your post that you had to stay away from the internet for a while due to the fact that you were seeing memes and people posting them as if they were real. I think that is very true in my experience. I am an ENTP and I have found that the internet can be very confusing for me.
