I told myself I wasn't going to get discouraged, so I headed to the final round. I did well in everything, but didn't get the job. I was heartbroken. The first time I had been rejected, I was 18 and thought it had to be my fault. The second time, I took it as a sign that I wasn't cut out for the job. Now, I was 17 and had no idea what to do with myself.
When I got home, I started texting my friends who were still in high school. They asked me what happened, and I told them that it wasn't a fit for me. One of them remembered an interview she had about a year prior for a job at Disney World for a merchandise warehouse in Florida. She told me that she didn't get the job, but it was such an experience that she wouldn't have traded it for anything.
