An official from the production company who spoke on condition of anonymity said that the original post was deleted after officials at the show were informed. "They don't really want to publicise this kind of thing, especially after the 11th episode aired," he said.
However, the post has since been republished by many other media outlets, including the tabloid Qianjiang Evening News and online portal Sina.
The official from the production company said that the show's producers have not yet decided whether or not to make Jian Changsheng a full-time cast member.
