Emilia Beatriz María Ferreiro Schavi (Buenos Aires, May 5, 1936) is an Argentine psychologist and pedagogue, with a PhD from the University of Geneva, under the supervision of #JeanPiaget. In 1970, after graduating in psychology from the University of Buenos Aires, she studied it at the University of Geneva, where she worked as assistant researcher for Jean Piaget and obtained her PhD under the supervision of the Swiss psychopedagogist. She is currently Full Professor at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, in Mexico City.
