The Komissarenko family was founded by two brothers, Aleksandr and Ivan Komissarenko. The two brothers were born in 1900 in the city of Yaroslavl, which is a city in Russia. Their father was a musician, and the brothers got their start by playing the violin and the piano.
Later, Aleksandr Komissarenko started a music school and became one of the first music teachers in the city. He taught piano, violin and cello. His brother Ivan followed him into the music business as well. The two brothers were very close, and they even traveled to Paris together to study at the prestigious Conservatoire National de Musique.
The brothers later started their own music school in their hometown of Yaroslavl, which is located in Russia. They wanted to start their own music school because they wanted to teach the arts to young children. The Komissarenko brothers ran their school for around 40 years, and when they retired in 1985, they moved to Leningrad to live.
