Segata Sanshiro is the Japanese mascot for the Sega Saturn video game console. Segata is a martial artist who goes around and beats up people engaging in recreational activity that doesn't involve playing the Sega Saturn, all accompanied to a bombastic theme tune. He eventually found himself engaging in the activities of the games found on the Sega Saturn, and even found himself in a relationship with Sakura Shinguji of the Sakura Wars franchise. Segata Sanshiro met his unfortunate end when, during the launch of the Sega Dreamcast, rival companies fired a nuke at Sega headquarters, only for Segata to catch the bomb, redirect it up into space, and get caught up in its explosion.
