INTJ Personality Type: A Brief History
The INTJ personality type was first brought to light by the author and psychiatrist Isabel Myers, who wrote a book called Gifts Differing which was published in 1943. The book was a study of the Myers Briggs personality types and within it, she included an explanation of the INTJ personality type. The first person to be given this personality type was a woman named Ellen G. White. She was an American author and founder of the Seventh-day Adventist church and became a counselor at the Hartford sanitarium.
In 1940, Isabel Myers wrote Gifts Differing, which focused on the Myers Briggs personality types and how they were related to each other.
