Rebecca Jessel personality type is ENFJ, but to be honest, I was not all that certain about this before beginning to read this book. She seems to have a very strong INFJ personality type, but I am still not fully convinced. The fact that she is a lawyer, but her family does not support her career choice, certainly makes the INFJ more plausible to me.
Jessel was born in Vienna in 1848, and died in 1934. She attended the University of Vienna, graduating with honors in medicine and philosophy, but at the time she was also studying law. Because of her mother’s death, she had to leave Vienna without graduating, and after working for some time in Berlin, she went to the University of Leipzig to study medicine.
Jessel then returned to Berlin, where she worked as a doctor while also studying law. She also became a militant suffragette. Jessel was involved in helping to form the Welt Frauenverein (World Women’s League), an organization that made political demands on behalf of women’s rights. Jessel also became an activist for feminism at this time.
