Michael Holden personality type is ENFP, which is a “The Thinker”. I have always been more of a “Feeler” and over the years have come to appreciate this type for their ability to present compelling arguments and make them stick. In fact, I have found that the ENFP personality has many of the same characteristics as myself, albeit with one key distinction: ENFPs tend to be less focused on the external world and more focused on their own selves.
I will not attempt to be an expert on ENFPs, but I will share the qualities I observe in myself and the ENFPs I have worked with over the course of my career.
At Work
ENFPs have a very active interpersonal style and enjoy working with people. They are very good at coming up with creative ideas, and are often well equipped for social interaction and leadership roles. They are often not as good as other types at managing their own emotions. This can lead ENFPs to be impulsive and/or reckless at times. One of the reasons they can be so successful at work is because they use their natural abilities to work on new projects, learn new skills, or develop new ideas.
