I was always an introvert and found I wasn't very good at socializing with people (even when I wanted to). It didn't help that I found myself prone to depression and anxiety from time to time.
I think I changed my type because of my feelings on the subject. As I got older, I've come to realize that the world doesn't care about how you feel. Sure, people are socially conditioned to fit into certain categories, but if you're unhappy, you're unhappy and people will accept that.
