In season 2, she has been shown to be an expert at using her staff to open portals, to retrieve objects from them, and even to move objects from one place to another. In the episode "Kansas", Glinda uses the staff to open a portal to Kansas and bring Kansas Dorothy and Kansas Toto back to Oz.
She is also seen to be a skilled spell-maker, and in season 2, she and the Wizard of Oz create the spell that transforms the Scarecrow into a human, and turn the Tin Woodman into a real human. Glinda also creates the spell that transforms the Cowardly Lion into a real lion. The spell can also transform other animals into humans, though this is rarely seen in the series.
In season 2, Glinda is shown to be able to use her staff to make animals appear, such as turning a frog into a prince and a lion into a woman. She also uses it at one point in The Wizard and the Witch in order to open a sliding door leading to the Emerald City and bring in Dorothy and Toto.
Glinda the Good Witch is a fictional character created by L. Frank Baum for his Oz novels. She first appears in Baum's 1900 children's classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and is the most powerful sorceress in the Land of Oz, ruler of the Quadling Country South of the Emerald City, and protector of Princess Ozma.
