5 Seconds of Summer - 2011 is the fifth studio album by Australian pop rock band 5 Seconds of Summer. It was released on 4 June 2011 through Capitol Records. It is their first album without their former guitarist, Michael Clifford (who left the band in 2009), and their first album to feature drummer Ashton Irwin.
The album debuted at number 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified 2× Platinum in Australia.
For the week ending June 13, 2011, the album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart. It became the first Australian album to reach number one on the Billboard 200 chart since the Backstreet Boys' Black & Blue (1997) and only the second album overall after Michael Jackson's Thriller (1982). It also made 5 Seconds of Summer the first group ever to have three albums debut at number one on the Billboard 200 chart in a week (following Take Me Home, Youngbloods and Sounds Good Feels Good).
The band has played a total of 14 dates in promotion of the album. They also performed at the 2011 V Festival in Weston Park, UK.
