In Wild World and City Folk
In Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk, the only difference between a normal Donkey (Donkey) and a donkey (Donkey-P) is the color of their fur. The normal Donkey's fur is brown, while the donkey-P's fur is black. Both animals can be found in all four towns, but they are only owned by the player on a few occasions. Like all other donkeys, it is the most commonly occurring animal in all games.
In Wild World, there are two different ways to get one: if the player has less than 120 villagers, he/she can catch a wild Donkey; or alternatively, using the petting zoo. If the player sets the petting zoo to donkeys, a donkey-P is added to the list of animals. This donkey-P will be at the far right of the list.
