Ann-Marit personality type is ENTP, which is the only personality type in the Scratch analysis that has a significant association with the RMB. The most striking finding, however, is that this association is weakest for the EI (see Table 2). In addition, the analysis by personality type shows that an association with the EI is most strong for females, but not for males (see Table 2).
The strength of the association with the ENTP personality type was shown by the fact that the ENTP scores were correlated with the RMB scores for about half of our sample. A positive association for ENTP was also found for the clinical scales (the effect size was 0.30) and for the vocational scales (the effect size was 0.29). An association with the ENTP was found for both of the personality scales (the effect size was 0.26).
The RMB appears to be a promising instrument for research on academic achievement as well as for understanding individuals’ career pathways. The results of the current study suggest that it can also be used for research on personality preferences.
The current study included a large sample of high school students and demonstrated that both measures of academic achievement can be used to investigate personality preferences.
