The results of HSPT were released ahead of Hate Crime Awareness Week, which starts on Tuesday and runs until next Friday.
The idea for the study was inspired by a letter from a young woman who said she was a victim of bullying because she was from a different ethnic background.
She said that she had moved to a new neighbourhood and was targeted by bullies for being an outsider, describing her tormentors as “dirty old men”.
The study’s author, Dr Tony Ward, said: “The Hate personality type is different from bullying. Bullying is usually about power, authority, and aggression.
“But we believe that bullying is really about power and aggression.
Hatred is a violent twin-stick shooter, in which you take the role of The Antagonist fighting against all of humanity.
