Kyon-Kyon personality type is ENFP, and he's the type who would benefit from some extra guidance. He's also the type who probably can't handle the world on his own, which is why he has to be so close with his family and friends. But he's also a smart kid and he can handle himself, so there's no reason for him not to try to work with people as well as he can.
I think Yuki's suggestion of a support group is an excellent one, because we need to be able to talk about these things and come up with ways to deal with them, because they get worse and worse as the child gets older.
And I agree with you, the Eunice clue is a great clue that hints at the identity of Konatsu's mother. Yuki's just a little too young for that to be true, however.
