Griffin personality type is ISTJ, which is the same as my mother. And in a lot of ways, the most significant kind of parallel between the two of us is in our family dynamics. For example, I have very strong relationships with both my parents, but I don't have a very strong relationship with my brother. My mother and I have a very close relationship because she's very similar to me. My dad and I have a much more distant relationship, and there's a reason for that. He's more of an ISTP, so he has the same kind of personality as me, but he's more of an extrovert, so he's not as familial as my mother is.
He's also a lot more of an advocate for his own personal values than she is, which is why she takes on this kind of martyrdom role for him. The ISTJ personality type tends to be very fair, so he doesn't like to see his family members upset, which sometimes happens because they get upset. My father has really strong opinions about how he wants things done, and he doesn't like it if we are doing something different from what he wants.
