Seojoon was born in Seoul, South Korea. At a young age, Seojoon's mother died due to kidney failure. He lived with his father, who had struggled with alcoholism during Seojoon's childhood. His father was eventually killed in a hit and run accident on September 30, 1985. After his father's death, Seojoon became very withdrawn and isolated from the world.
