Ridley is a character in the Metroid series, who has appeared in every game except for Metroid Prime. His appearance is unique in that he cannot be killed, and cannot be harmed by any weapon or powerup. Ridley himself has no special powers, however, he has an ability that allows him to possess Samus Aran. This allows him to temporarily take control of Samus's body, and use her abilities to attack enemies. Ridley can also absorb the life energy of other creatures, which he then uses as fuel to sustain his own life. He can also use this energy to temporarily heal himself, and can also use it to heal other creatures he has possessed.
Ridley's appearance [ edit ]
Ridley's appearance has changed several times over the course of the series. He has been depicted as a large, wingless black creature with four tentacles and a beak. In Metroid II, he was depicted as a large "dragon" with a long neck, wings and hands with claws. In Metroid: Zero Mission, he was depicted as a large bipedal creature with wings and four tentacles.
