The Old Testament personality type is ISTJ, the Warrior. The ISTJ is the wise, righteous judge, who is usually a religious leader (e.g. Moses, Samuel, etc.) or a warrior (e.g. David, Solomon).
The New Testament personality type is INTJ, the Strategist. The INTJ is the wise, righteous judge, who is usually a religious leader (e.g. Peter, Paul, etc.) or a warrior (e.g. Jesus, John)
In the Judaeo-Christian culture, the ISTJ was the ideal personality type. The INTJ is the ideal personality type of the new culture.
How did this happen? By the time the NT was written, the Judaeo-Christian culture had begun to disintegrate. The Prophets had given their final predictions and the Apostles had carried their message to the furthest reaches of the known world. The Judaeo-Christian culture no longer had an unifying force. It was now dominated by the Roman Empire.
At this juncture, the Judaeo-Christian culture needed a new ideal personality type to replace the ISTJ and INTJ.
The first half of the Bible generally, though not exclusively, chronicling what happened on the Earth and to the Israelites before the birth of Christ. Has a very different feel from the New Testament.
