Kanji personality type is ENTP, so I tend to be a bit more on the eccentric side.
If you think about it, it’s not surprising to find that Japanese ENTPs tend to be pretty eccentric – they’re the ENTPs. I’ve always been a bit different from the other people I know, and I’m pretty sure that I’m not alone in that. It’s easier to be eccentric if you feel comfortable with your own weirdness and you’re comfortable with yourself. The problem is that in Japan, we tend to be much more shy and reserved than in other places. This has led to our society being much more conservative, even though we’re a very open-minded country. And yet a lot of people seem to think that we’re all weird and eccentric, when in reality we’re actually quite normal and quite down-to-earth.
Are Japanese ENTPs really all that different from the rest of the world? Are we really the only ENTPs out there? Just how many of us are there, anyway?
