Rei Hino (Sailor Mars) personality type is INTJ, with a Se/Ni/Ti combo. Rei is a very intelligent, analytical, perfectionist and cold-hearted person, with a straightforward and blunt personality. She can be a very harsh person sometimes, but at least she does not lie. Rei has a deep hatred for the human race and is very harsh and brutal to her enemies, which is ironic to her quiet, sweet and gentle personality. Rei's Se and Ti make her a logical thinker and a very good fighter. She is also known for having a very good memory, surpassing all of her fellow senshi in this regard, save for Tuxedo Mask. She is also the only senshi who can remember the events from the previous war and the future war that will come. Rei also has a very good sense of sight, being able to identify all of her fellow senshi by their scent, something that Usagi, who has strong and sweet scents, cannot do. Rei also has good night vision; she was able to see all of the senshi's transformations, something that only Sailor Moon could do.
Rei Hino is the civilian identity and present-day incarnation of Sailor Mars. Rei works at her family's shrine. She is often seen staring into the flames of a fire and can predict the future. She is somewhat a loner, Rei has a difficult time placing her trust in others, and she often depends on herself. She hates karaoke but is eventually forced into pretending to be an idol; singing in front of a crowd at a hospital. She shares a close bond with Minako Aino. Rei does not get along with her father Takashi Hino as he was in parliament while her mother was dying when Rei was younger.
Rei didn't want to be friends with the other girls at the beginning of the series in doing actives for example karaoke because she didn't like singing and she didn't want to have anything to do with her past life which she often argued with Minako about. She eventually warmed up to the other girls and had a strong bond with Minako similar to the one she had with Usagi in the anime.
