Riku is a young man who has lost his memories. He was taken to the Destiny Islands by a mysterious woman named Kairi, who determined that he would be an important Keyblade wielder for her world.
Despite being a newcomer, Riku quickly became one of the most influential members of Organization XIII. He is more experienced than his fellow new members and is likely to become the group's leader. Riku is very resourceful, and his signature move, "Thousand Blades," allows him to rapidly attack his opponents.
He is voiced by Hayden Panettiere.
Birth by Sleep
Riku Azami is a Japanese boxer who develops an interest in boxing after deeming himself as weak and unable to protect anyone. As a child, Riku was often abused by his father and was sent to an orphanage after he murders his mother's boyfriend in self dense. Riku then experiences even more trauma when a target is put on his back by the Yakuza and his teacher is put in harms way. After receiving guidance from former boxer Kyousuke Tokorozawa, Riku uses these two experiences as motivation and begins to train vigorously under his trainer, Shinji Baba to become a pro.
